The relatively young Austrian company E-M-M-A GmbH is closely related to the older company AMH -FFT GmbH, which has been operating independently in the market since 1980, although various roots can be traced back as far as 1947. In the course of its evolution, the company has successively transformed itself from a business operation to an engineering company specialized in material flow in production, including automation.
In a customer survey conducted in 2008, AMH-FFT GmbH received very positive feedback from its customers; however, the price of existing integrated modular conveyor systems was strongly criticized. Since intensive negotiations with the supplier at that time did not yield any satisfactory results, the company decided, after serious consideration, to commence development and production of its own system under the sales designation E-M-M-A. The foundation for taking such a step was the company’s more than ten years’ experience in using plastic chains, aluminium profiles and application know-how.
In order to help customers better understand the various names and sales designations, a new company was established at the beginning of 2011 called E-M-M-A GmbH. This company fully took over production and distribution of the new product.
Today the E-M-M-A system has over 400 types of standardized components. It consists of many kinds and types of plastic chains, aluminium profiles, bends, idler and drive units, guide rails, etc. Its cost-efficiency is demonstrated by the fact that individual parts can be integrated into many existing, already installed systems without any problem, thereby maintaining the value of investments already made.
The main prerequisite for value for money is also the quality of components, which is in turn reflected in the quality of the whole system. For this reason the E-M-M-A system was tested by the national testing station TGM in Vienna with very good results.
